We are sad to announce that, on March 6, 2026, at the age of 87, Rosalyn Mears Stancell of Colonial Heights, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard E. Mears and Doris Richardson Mears; her husband James Gordon Stancell; her son Jimmy Stancell; and her sister Patricia Grage.
She is survived by: her daughters, Celeste Crowder of Colonial Heights and Pam Reid (Rick) of Chesterfield; her grandchildren, Zack Reid, Maegan Voelkel (Josh) and Kelsey Reid; her great grandchildren, Lucas Voelkel and Baby Voelkel; and her sister Dolly Bowers of North Carolina. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Crater Community Hospice or the Colonial Heights Food Pantry.
