He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Woods and Willia Woods; and his sister Norma Jean Woods. He is survived by: his wife Virginia; his children, Steven Woods (Shelly) of Douglasville, GA and Greta Robertson of Linthicum Heights, MD; his stepdaughter Wanda Dawson; and his siblings, James Woods (Myrtle) of Yorktown, VA, Harry Woods (Consuella) of Lynchburg, VA, Ernestyne Booker of Beckley, WV. and Elizabeth Woods of Beckley, WV.. He is also survived by six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Community Funeral Home (909 Fifth St, Lynchburg, VA 24504).
