It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Ralph Patterson of Concord, Virginia, born in Lynchburg, Virginia, who passed away on August 3, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Cornelius "Neal" Patterson and Fannie Miller Patterson; and his daughter Edith Alexander. He is survived by : his wife Bernice Davis Patterson; his daughter Patricia Carr (Aronto) of Lynchburg; his grandchildren, Anthony Alexander, Arita Carr and Athena Glover; and his sisters, Gladys Edwards and Hermenia Parker. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
