She was predeceased by: her husband John Thomas Goin, Jr.; her parents, Eugene Meredith Saunders and Mary Ann Hawley Saunders; and her brother Robert Eugene Saunders. She is survived by: her daughter Stephanie G. Alvis (Rusty) of Concord; her grandchildren, Morgan A. Watson (Jacob) of Spout Spring and Madison Alvis of Charlottesville; and her great grandchildren, Olivia Joy Watson, Levi Russell Watson and Luke Thomas Watson.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bethlehem United Methodist Church (42 Phoebe Pond Rd, Concord, VA 24538). A burial will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Liberty Cemetery (1270 Lee-Grant Ave, Appomattox, VA 24522).
