He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Lynn Yeary Murrie and James Edward Murrie; and his sister Frances Murrie. He is survived by: his wife Anna Caudill Murrie; his daughters, Kelli Murrie and Allison Murrie; his sister Deborah Finney; his mother-in-law Maxine Caudill; his nephew Neal Finney (Elizabeth); his niece Michelle Milinazzo (Josh Cash); his son Adrian; his nephew Lillianna Finney; and his close friends, Jerry Alderman and Ben Sink.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Lawrence Memorial United Methodist Church (10140 Tinsley Ln, Bent Mountain, VA 24059).
