With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Luther Waldren Galyean of Copper Hill, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 5, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Luther may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Waldren Galyean, Sr. and Lillie Mae Galyean Melton. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Conner Galyean; his daughter Jackie Galyean of Christiansburg; his stepdaughters, Dixie Young (Eddie) of Penhook, VA and April Wade (Steven) of Floyd; and his sisters, Carol Mae Elliott of Galax, Judy Spears (Gary) of Ennice, NC and Barbara Collins (Terry) of Winston Salem, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to St. Jude Foundation.
