With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Annie Rose in Covington, Virginia, born in Buckingham, Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Christian and Elsie Florine Griffith Dowdy; her great grandchild Madison Carter; her sister Peggy; and her brother-in-law Pete Carlin.
She is survived by: her husband John "Bob" Robert Rose, Sr. of Rockingham County; her sons, John Rose, Jr. (Karen) of Harrisonburg, Mike Rose (Amy) of Chesterfield and Andy Rose (Laura) of Culpeper; her grandchildren, Meredith Carter (Cody), Sarah Moss (Travis), Emma Rose, Sydney Rose, Alex Rose and Christian Rose; her great grandchildren, Mason Carter and Bennett Moss; and her siblings, T. William Dowdy (Dorothy) of Buckingham County, Ron E. Dowdy (Mary Ellen) of Orlando, FL, Reba Burkett (Bill) of Hickory, NC and Larry Dowdy (June) of Fairfax. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
