With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cheryl Lowery Lockhart of Covington, Virginia, born in New Castle, Virginia, who passed away on December 13, 2021 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse James and Gertrude Reynolds Lowery; and her brothers, Stuart Samuel Lowery and James Jay Lowery. She is survived by: her husband James "Blue" Lockhart; her daughters, Jackie Oppelt and Whitney Stinson (Greg); her granddaughter Rachel McGarry (Caleb); her stepgranddaughters, Christina Stinson, Kathleen Comer (Clay) and Courtney Stinson; her sisters, Linda London (Joe), Karen Barnhart (George) and Susie Kaffen (Ron); and her sisters-in-law, Phyllis Burr, Lola Angell and Jackie McCoy.
