He is survived by: his children, Kristal Mayberry (Chris) of Covington, Jeffrey Broughfman of New Castle and Rebekah Alexandre of Salisbury, NC; his siblings, Earl Broughfman (Jeanie), Jesse Broughfman (Jenny), Darlene Meadows (William) of Covington and Peggy Graham of Covington; and his caregivers, Susan Fridley and James Tucker. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
