He is survived by: his mother Peggy Smith "Penny" Wells; his stepfather Robert Wells of Covington; his wife Amy Hatcher Kirby; his children, Ashlie Kirby of Raleigh, NC, Chris Kirby-Lewis of Covington and Donald Kirby Jr. of Covington; his stepchildren, Kaylee, Michael Callahan of Covington and Joshua Deaner of Covington; his sister Lisa Horton (Greg) of Clifton Forge; his stepsiblings, Sharon Wells of Clifton Forge, Theresa Perdue (Jay) of Covington and Doug Wells of Millboro; his aunts, Pam Evan (Wayne) of Selma and Kay Stull (Eugene) of Covington; and his uncle Tom Smith (Diane) of Covington. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial donations be made in Mr. Kirby's name be made to the Good New Christian Fellowship at 331 W. Main St. Covington, VA 24426.
