She was predeceased by: her parents, James Henry and Justine Doris Hepler Simmons. She is survived by: her husband John Harvey Thompson; her daughters, Elizabeth Dawn "Libby" Atkins (Jim) of Franklin County and Melissa Carol Thompson of Covington; her grandchildren, Savannah Leigh Thompson, Abigail Dawn Atkins and Joshua Lee Atkins; her brother Richard Simmons; her niece Elisha Renee Simmons Meador; and her close friend Vicki Anderson. She is also survived by two great nephews; one great niece; a number of cousins.
The family suggests memorial donations in Mrs. Thompson's name be made to the Living Word Assembly of God at 205 Chapel Dr. Covington, VA 24426.
