She was predeceased by : her parents, Ernest Jackson Turner and Virginia Frances Luckett Turner; her husband Robert Emory Hayes; her sister Lolly Berry of Washington, D. C.; and her cousin James Turner, Jr..

She is survived by : her nephews, Richard Berry (Linette) and Steven Berry; her niece Dorothy Leisure; her cousin Perlista Yvonne Henry; her granddaughter Helen Selleck (Charlie) of Covington; and her friend John Laflame. She is also survived by cousins and other family members.
