She was predeceased by: her spouse Alphord R. Thomas, Sr.; her parents, Posey Edgar Hylton and Lora Violet Webb Hylton; her children, Alphord Richard Thomas Jr. and Patricia Ann Thomas McClellan; her grandchildren, Jessica L'Raye McBride and Jason Thomas Armstrong; her great grandchild Felica Marie Murphy; and her brothers, Posey Edgar "Jack" Hylton, Doug Hylton and Sebird Hylton.
She is survived by: her children, Ada Sue Thomas Smith of Covington, Deborah Kay Thomas Foreman of Fort Way, IN, Lora Lee Thomas Dietrich of Covington and Michael David Thomas of Colorado Springs, CO; and her siblings, David Calvin Hylton of Covington and Shirley H. Kelley of Bradenton, FL. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to First Christian Church, 231 E. Fudge Street, Covington VA 24426.
