He is survived by: his son Edward Woodrow Gibson, III of Oakwood, GA; his grandson John Edward Gibson of Flowery Branch, GA; his sister-in-law Betty W. Gibson of Covington; his niece April Gibson Reyns (Frank) of Covington; his nephew Gerald W. Gibson, Jr. of Covington; his great-nephew Derek Gibson; and his great-nieces, Katie Gibson, Adrienne Reynolds (Daniel), Mahaley Broughman (Holden) and Rachel Reyns.
The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church, 900 Alleghany Avenue, Covington VA 24426.
