He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Ernest Malcolm Wilkinson, Sr. and Addie May Johnson Wilkinson; his former wife Jeanette Holloway Wilkinson; his wife Tracy Burchette Wilkinson; his brother Richard Warren "Buzzy" Wilkinson; his sister-in-law Patricia Ann "Patty" Hayes Wilkinson; his nephew Richard Ernest "Rick" Wilkinson; his stepgranddaughter Sarah Boswell; and his cousin Nancy Lee Gum Smoot.
He is survived by: his sons, David Wilkinson (Laura) of Richmond, VA and John Wilkinson (Lisa) of Kernersville, NC; his stepson Chad Boswell (Hope) of Red Lion, PA; his granddaughters, Brooke Simmons (Chris), Paige Voss (Austin), Johnsie Wilkinson and Olivia Wilkinson; his stepgrandson Aaron Boswell (Katie); his great grandchildren, Lexi Wilkinson, Andon, Mason, Sadie Simmons, Emmett and Maxine Voss; his stepgreat-granddaughter Naomi Kincaid; and his nephew Frank Wilkinson (Gina).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church (138 N Maple Ave, Covington, VA 24426).
