She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Wright and Emma Wheeler Wright; her husband Lloyd McKenzie; her children, Demerity Valdez, Melvin Wright and Robert "Wiz" Wright; and her siblings, Jean Taylor, Robert Wright and Tyrone Wheeler.
She is survived by: her child Church; her granddaughters, Renee Wright of Covington, Sandra Dinkins of Macon and Louise Wallace (Jay) of Roanoke; her son Kirk Wright of Covington; her siblings, Deborah Wright-Hall (Hubert) of Covington, Gilbert Wright and Gregory Wright (Alice) of Maryland; and her brother-in-law Nathaniel Taylor. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
