She was predeceased by: her parents, Luke Thornton and Vienna Harvey Thornton; and her siblings, Calvin Thornton, Jo Chapman, Lennie Roles, Lillie Wickline and Susan Thornton.
She is survived by: her husband Jack Vass; her children, Terry Vass (Carol), Melisa Crizer (Richard) and Matt Vass (Kristin); and her grandchildren, Luke Vass, Jackleen Butler Zach Crizer (Bradley), Owen Burch and Shelby Vass. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and other family members.
The family suggest that memorial tributes take the place of flowers by making contributions to Connections Plus, 315 Myers Street, Lexington, VA 24450 and thanks them for their excellent services that was provided to their loved one.
