He is survived by: his children, Hampton Edward Forbes, III, Deborah F. Aretz (Jack) of Mt. Jackson and Gwyneth Schultz (Albert) of Georgia; his son-in-law Thomas E. Hames of Elkton, MD; and his sister Dreama Jones of Covington. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; five great- great grandchildren.
