She is survived by: her grandson Ryan Carter (Gabrielle) of Midlothian; her great grandchildren, Rhett Carter of Midlothian, Nicholas Smith of Covington, Grayce and Michayla Smith of Old Bridge, NJ; her sister Darlene Smith (Gene) of Richmond; her daughter-in-law Shanda D. Carter of Covington; her nephews, Jason L. Smith (Erika) of Clayton, NC and Mark Elmore (Susan) of Clifton Forge; and her niece Teri Soignoli of Richmond.
