It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Wesley Ralsten of Covington, Virginia, who passed away on February 13, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife JoAnn Boggs Lowe Ralsten; his parents, Malcolm McNeer Ralsten and Elizabeth Miller Ralsten; and his siblings, Malcolm M. Ralsten, Marshall M. Ralsten and Margaret Ellen Bontz.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer V. Ralsten of Richmond, John W. Ralsten of Dayton, OH, Clayton T. Lowe of Covington and Jeffery M. Lowe (Brenda) of Covington; his grandchildren, Caleb Lowe, Kara A. McCallister (Nathan), Chase Bratton of Mooresville, NC and Nicholas Recker of Newberg, OR; his brother William R. Ralsten (Kathy) of Chester; and his sisters-in-law, Gladys Ralsten of Roanoke and Trina Ralsten. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
