She was predeceased by: her parents, Kathleen "Peggy" Worsham and David Mustoe Carter; her siblings, Sandra Cook, Bob Carter and Bill Mack Carter; her nephew David Carter; and her brother-in-law Pat Cook.
She is survived by: her niece Shanda DePriest Carter; her great-nephew Ryan Carter (Gabrielle) of Midlothian; her cousin Michele Clifford Wright (Lynn); her sister-in-law Helen Carter; her cousin Linda Simmons (Rob); and also Rhett Carter.
The family suggests memorial contributions in Miss Carter's name be made to South Covington United Methodist Church 1911 S. Kadel Ave. Covington VA 24426, Connections Plus Healthcare + Hospice Volunteers 537 Main St Clifton Forge VA 24422 or the Alleghany Athletic Association.
