He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. May, Jr. and Sylvia Slaton May; his son Terry Wayne May; his siblings, Roger May, Linda May and Jerry May; and his stepmother Cynthia May.
He is survived by: his wife Paula Dameron May of Covington; his children, John C. May, IV (Heather) of Jacksonville, NC and Misty May of Covington; his grandchildren, Cody May, Kaylee May and Gabriella May; his brothers, Daniel May and Garland "Dale" May of Hot Springs; and his niece Mandy Powell of Covington.
