Linda Carpenter Hippert Obituary

We are sad to announce that on May 8, 2023, at the age of 82, Linda Carpenter Hippert of Covington, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Eugene and Mildred Taylor Carpenter; and her sisters, Carol Carpenter Lipes and Frances Carpenter Nicely. She is survived by: her husband Richie G. Hippert, Sr.; her children, Debra Markland of Pennsylvania, Tony Markland (Tina) of West Virginia, Shirley Hippert Thompson (Mark) of Covington and Richie Hippert, Jr. of Buena Vista; her stepchildren, Cynthia Nuckols and Robert Hippert (Teri) of Selma; her siblings, Gail Elson (Jeff) of Covington and Michael Carpenter (Hilda) of Maryland; her grandchildren, Tony Markland II, Jalen Hippert, Mya Hippert, Ashley Thompson, Cody Thompson, Molly O'Conner, Taylor Hippert and Jared Hippert; her cousin Margaret Jackson of Covington; and her sister-in-law Rachel Hippert of Salem. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
