Though Loretta may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Lake Kersey and Julia Alexander Kersey; her sister Joyce Kersey Hazen; and her sisters-in-law, Ann Rickett and Frances Besser.
She is survived by: her son Jeffrey Alan Horton of Christiansburg.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Loving Funeral Home (350 N Maple Ave, Covington, VA 24426). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Temple Baptist Church (300 Stratton St, Covington, VA 24426).
