He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Denzil Burns and Alice Burns of Alleghany County; and his brother Delmas Burns (Jackie). He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Burns; his daughters, Kimley Myers (John Myers) and Tanya Veras (Rayvi Veras); his grandchildren, Kara Myers, Emily Myers, Sophia Veras and Samuel Veras; and his pet Peanut. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
