She was predeceased by: her husband Archie Ward Lemon; her parents, W. E. "Bill" Johnson and Ethel Byrd Johnson; and her siblings, Junior Johnson and Janice Johnson.

She is survived by: her children, Archie Ward Lemon, Jr. of Covington, Susan Lemon Nicely (Darren) of Clifton Forge and Miss Sandy Lemon of Santa Fe, NM; and her grandchildren, Christopher "Brian" Lemon (Julie), Jarrod A. Lemon (Karey), Jenna Lemon Sorlagas (Alex), Christina Nicely Wiseman (Wade), Heather N. Richmond (Corey) and Justin Nicely. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren; and five great- great grandchildren.

The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Alleghany High School - ATTN Golf Team, 210 Mountaineer Drive, Covington, VA 24426.
