He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse L. Persinger and Helen Clark Smith Persinger; his daughter Wendy Leigh Persinger; and his brother Donald R. Persinger. He is survived by: his son Todd Persinger of Salem; his sister Rosa Lee Bartley of Covington; and his sisters-in-law, Thelma Falls and Betty Munsey. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family will receive their friends from 1:00 PM until service time on Friday at Arritt Funeral Home; The family suggests in lieu of flowers that memorial donation in Mr. Persinger's name be made to the Alleghany Humane Society at 9313 Rich Patch Rd. Covington, VA 24426.
