He is survived by: his wife Ruth Smith Lane; his son Ralph Eugene Lane, Jr. (Kimberly) of Christiansburg; his grandchildren, Luke Bradley Lane and Lauren Lola Audrey Lane; his siblings, Melvin Lane of Renick, WV, David Lane of Marlinton, WV and Dorothy Crites of Lewisburg, WV; and his close friends, Pete and Barbara Leitch. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
