He was predeceased by: his father Harry A. Mays, Sr.; his former wife Carol Jean Mays; his siblings, Harry (Barbara), James (Mary Frances), Bill Mays (Eunice) and Dorothy McDonald (John); his son-in-law Gary Brackenridge; and his grandson Matthew Paxton.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Hutchens Mays; his children, Britt Mays (Karen) of Covington, Dean Lunsford (Cindy) of Vesuvius, Tanya Brackenridge of Covington, Devone Bess (Gary) of Covington and Gail Walker (Krist) of Covington; his grandchildren, Stephen Bland (Charlee), Krystal Mays, Dabney Lunsford, Lindsay Bess (Trevor), Rebecca Brill (Mark), Devan Bess, John Lunsford, Tiffany Thomas and Jason Brackenridge (Laura); and his great grandchildren, Cadence, Sawyer Bland and Madelynn Morris. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
