We are sad to announce that on July 4, 2022, at the age of 81, Richard Wayne Hastings Sr. (Covington, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Radford Carl Hastings, Sr. and Virginia Brown Hastings; and his brothers, Radford C. Hastings Jr. and Alvin Fremont Hastings. He is survived by: his wife Cora L. Hastings; his children, Richard W. Hastings Jr. (Amy) of Baltimore Maryland and Sarah Hastings Bowman (J. Andy Bowman) of North Carolina; and his grandchildren, Eliana M. Hastings, Adeline C. Hastings, Summer Hallman (Logan) and Sarah Jane Bowman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Faith Baptist Church, 311 Jackson Dr., Covington.
