We are sad to announce that on June 12, 2025, at the age of 89, Richard Watson of Covington, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Watson and Beulah Watson; his wife Shelby Hubbard Watson; his son Ricky Watson; his siblings, Robert Lewis Watson, Edgar Landin Watson, Homer Doyle Watson, Wilbur Watson, William Watson, Delmes Watson, Eva Watson Dressler Winkler and Helen Watson Kern; and his close friend Reba Byer (Bill Dawson).
He is survived by: his daughter Carol June Watson Williams; his grandchildren, Ashley Williams, Brittany, Corey, Caleb and Jacob Watson; his close friend Wilda Reynolds; and his siblings, Ralph Junior, Frank Watson, Elsie Roth, Virginia Ousley, Janet Hayslett, Alma Midgett and Brenda Andrews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM and at 4:00 PM. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home (1102 S Highland Ave, Covington, VA 24426). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Arritt Funeral Home (1102 S Highland Ave, Covington, VA 24426).
