It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Dodd of Covington, Virginia, who passed away on March 1, 2025, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Billy J. Evans and Norma Goodwin Evans of Clifton Forge; and her sister Deborah Mantz. She is survived by: her children, Nina Hale of Covington, John McCormick of Sterling and Richard Carper of Covington; her grandchildren, Matthew Melendez, Vanessa Brown, Maddalyn Greene and Noah Combs; her brothers, Fred Evans of Clifton Forge and William Evans of Covington; and her close friend Michael Drewry of Covington. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.
