He is survived by: his wife Violet Bowers Paxton; his children, Mellisa Powell of Seaman, Shannon Cox (Mark) of Covington and Dale Paxton of Jacksonville, FL; his grandchildren, Dusty Hicks (Heather), Josh Cox (Christy) of Covington, Trevor Cox (Alexis) of Gonzales, LA, Cooper Paxton of Jacksonville, FL and Courtney Cobb (Brandon) of Orange; his great grandchildren, Cooper, Corbin, Jacob, Lucas, Brooklynn, Scarlette and Presley; his nephews, Dwaine Paxton and Ronnie Paxton (Sandy) of Covington; and his cousin Wendell "Popeye" Paxton.
