It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Weikel of Covington, Virginia, who passed away on October 30, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his adoptive parents, Hollis Burton Weikel and Alice Long Weikel; his mother Juanita Tooley; and his brother Donald Bowles. He is survived by: his children, Robert Jerry Barger, Jr. of Lexington and Kristin Barger Staub (Jeff) of New Freedom, PA; his grandchildren, Maddalena Weikel, Lauren Staub, Cooper Weikel, Tyler Staub and Katlyn Staub; and his sisters, Brenda Weiss of Richmond and Betty Peters of Richmond.

The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the American Parkinson's Disease Foundation, P.O. Box 801018 Charlottesville, VA 22908.
