He is survived by: his children, Steven Justin Tenpenny and Ashton Larue Tenpenny of Clifton Forge; his grandchildren, Emma Scott of Clifton Forge, Trinity Scott of Clifton Forge and Lillian Tenpenny of Bristow; and his siblings, Jessie Willard Tenpenny, Jr. (Dwanna) and Patty Catron (Frank). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
