She was predeceased by : her parents, James T. Fridley and Lillian Kitt Fridley; her husband Howard J. Dawson; and her siblings, Willie Fridley, J. T. Fridley, Phil Fridley, Sandra Kirk and Darlene Brewster.

She is survived by : her children, Teresa Hoylman (Greg) of Crows, Tina Baker (Steven Irvine) of Covington, Shelby Hoke of Clifton Forge, Lillian Kibler of Covington and Howard Dawson, III (Jessica); and her siblings, Bobby Fridley, Paul Fridley of Covington, Gordon Fridley of Clifton Forge, Judy Craft (Wesley) of Clifton Forge, Vicky Depriest (Tommy) of Eagle Rock, Jewel Brewster (Harold) of Covington and Susie Deacan (Barry) of Eagle Rock. She is also survived by Twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren.
