Vernon Eugene Quantz Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernon Eugene Quantz (Covington, Virginia), who passed away on August 7, 2022 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John S. Quantz and Bertha Freeze Quantz; the mother of his children Marilyn June James Quantz; his brothers, Percy and Norman Quantz; his partner's daughter Janet Melvin; his former wife Dale Lowry Sr.; and his nephew James Quantz.
He is survived by: his wife Eunice Bailey Carter Quantz of Covington; his children, Tammy Arrington (Jamie), Steve Quantz (Cindy) of Hot Springs, John Quantz (Cindy) of Hot Springs and Matt Quantz (April Phillips) of Hot Springs; and his partner's children, Billie Carter, Dolly Lowry, Barbara Shifflett (Bob) and W. F. Carter (Alicia). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive their friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday evening at Arritt Funeral Home.; The family suggests memorial contributions in Mr. Quantz's name be made to the American Stroke Association at PO Box 840692 Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
