She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillip Johnson Smith, Sr. and Zenith Acadia Smith; and her stepmother Edna Persinger Smith (Leonard Allen Smith, Sr.). She is survived by: her children, Martha Leonard (Bill) of Lexington, NC, Joe Rock, Jr. (Donna) of Covington, Leonard Smith, Jr. (Dawn) of Covington and Steven Smith (Brenda) of Max Meadows; her siblings, Bonnie Neal of Covington, P. J. Smith (Ritzi) of Covington, Jerry Smith (Debra) of Covington, David Smith (Mary) of Covington and Edward Smith (Mary Sue) of Covington; her cousins, Hilda Smith of Clifton Forge and Andy Howell of Hot Springs; her brother-in-law Tommy Smith (Diane) of Covington; and her pets, Callie and Buddy. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
