He is survived by: his wife Sharon McCormick McCarter; his children, Dana McCarter Sigmon of Maiden, NC, Shannon McCarter Caldwell of Sherrills Ford, NC and Troy Scott McCarter of Rock Hill; his stepson Jason Crawford; his sister Sarah McCarter Gladden of York, SC; and his close friend Gracie. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
