She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Dugger Ragland and John Augustus Dugger IV; her stepfather Samuel Gilbert Ragland; her husband Clennie Earl Boyle; and her son John Scott Boyle.

She is survived by: her children, Chris Boyle (Jeanette) of Rapid City, SD, Brian Boyle of Atlanta, GA and Sherry Boyle Lee of Farmville, VA.; her grandsons, Justin Boyle, Patrick Boyle and Matthew Womack; and her great grandchildren, Beth Boyle and Victor Boyle.

As Betty loved animals, in lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations in her memory be made to a local animal shelter.
