She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Johnson and Alease Johnson; her brother James Johnson; and her brother-in-law Earnest Gray. She is survived by: her husband Milton Thomas Gray; her children, Takisha Gray-Smith (Tony) of Lawrenceville, GA and Reshawn Gray (Sheila) of Sandston, VA; her grandchildren, Ethan, Grayson and Jonah; her mother-in-law Cloris Gray (late Thomas Gray); and her siblings-in-law, Janice Johnson (late James Johnson), Gwendolyn Ward (Joe), Vanessa Green, Deloris Mitchell (Frank), Rev. Jacqueline Hawkes and Phillip Gray (Janice). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the W. E. Hawkes and Son Funeral Home (504 East St, Blackstone, VA 23824). A graveside service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gray Family Cemetery (3010 Winningham Rd, Crewe, VA 23930).
