He was predeceased by: his grandparents, John, Mattie Meek, Herman and Gertrude Harris; and his in-laws, David and Mary Wampler.

He is survived by: his parents, David Millard Meek, Sr. and Arleen Meek (Harris); his wife Dianne Meek (Wampler) of Crimora; his children, Adam Meek (Rachel) of Staunton and Lindsey Deacon (Preston) of Waynesboro; his grandchildren, Reagan Meek, Grayson Meek, Ryland Deacon and Cori Deacon; his siblings, Darrell Meek (Julie) of Grottoes and Denise Zimmerman (Bryan) of Waynesboro; his cousins, John Meek III, Randy Meek, Jr. and Brian Meek; and his brother-in-law Jeff Wampler (Liz). He is also survived by two nieces; two nephews.
