She was predeceased by: her parents, John Bowman and Annie Catherine Wine Kennedy; and also Gladys Isabell Willberger. She is survived by: her brothers, John Wallace Kennedy and Glenn Calvin Kennedy; her daughters, Teresa Simmons Stewart (David) and Wanda Simmons Ellinger (Jim); her great grandchildren, Daniel Stewart (Jasmine), Caedan Good, Finley Sheffer, Wesley Stewart, Sarah Bryant (Lee), Ryan Snyder, Austin Bryant, Caleb Stewart (Liz) and Ezra Bernardo-Stewart; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Chad Ellinger (Kascie), Morgan Ellinger, Tripp Ellinger, Adam Ellinger (Kristie), Wyatt Ellinger and Maggie Ellinger. She is also survived by numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McDow Funeral Home (1701 W Main St, Waynesboro, VA 22980). A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Augusta Memorial Park (1775 Old Goose Crk Rd, Waynesboro, VA 22980).
