He is survived by: his parents, John Moir Rakes and Teresa Lynn Rakes of Stuart, VA; his wife Amber Rorrer Rakes; his son Collin Daniel Rakes; his sister Kayla Rakes (Payton Richardson) of Bassett, VA; his parents-in-law, Teresa Martin (Danny) of Sandy Ridge, NC and Steve Rorrer (Kelly) of Stuart, VA; his siblings-in-law, Tiffany Whorley (Dustin) of Charity, VA and Shawn Rorrer (Amy) of Indian Valley, VA; his nieces and nephews, McKenzie Whorley, Rylee Whorley, Adalee Quesnberry, Paislynn Richardson, Titus Rorrer, Asher Rorrer, Jacob Quesnberry, Jase Rakes and Isaiah Richardson; and his pet Rona.
