He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Heinz Lips and Elizabeth Lips; his wife Dianne Marie Schmidt; his children, Brad (Stephanie Lips), Carrie (Aaron Lukas) and Dan (Karin Lips); and his grandchildren, Andrew, Emma and Morgan.

In lieu of flowers, Pete's family suggests donations be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W Cork St., #405, Winchester, VA 22601.
