He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan Goldstein and Ida Goldstein; his siblings, Samuel, Rose Berger, Goldie Goldman and Marianne Nieman; his wife Marylin Goldstein (Gribbin); and his son Douglas Thomas Goldstein.

He is survived by: his son Larry Goldstein (Suzanne) of Crimora, Virginia; his granddaughter Amy Mays (Wayne); his great grandchild Hudson Stoops of Amherst, Virginia; his stepgrandson Peter Tevendale (Andrea) of Hawley; his stepgreat-grandson Tyler Tevendale of Roanoke, Virginia; his stepgranddaughter Heather Tevendale (Todd McCullough); and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Sarah McCullough and Alexander McCullough of Brookhaven, Georgia. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
