He is survived by: his children, Sharon Hughes Taylor (Linwood Brown) of Crozet, Steve Hughes (Jamie) of Crozet, Susan Hughes Hilleary (Jim) of Marshall and Sean Eoghan Hughes of North Garden; and his grandchildren, Lisa, Mary, Rachel, Patrick, Hannah, Charles, Jacob and Haley. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
