We are sad to announce that on June 7, 2022, at the age of 83, Diane H Hughes of Crozet, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Alice Place Hughes and Lawrence Melvin Hughes; and her brother Larry. She is survived by : her husband Charles Stevenson Hughes; her siblings, Billie Hughes Locke (David), Joseph Hughes (Connie) of New Bern, NC, Kathleen Hughes Meyer (Rick) of New Bern, NC and Alexis Hughes Mahon (Richard) of Edenton, NC; her children, Sharon Hughes Taylor of Charlottesville, VA, Steve Hughes (Jamie) of Crozet, VA, Susan Hughes Hilleary (Jim) of Marshall, VA and Sean Eoghan Hughes (Wanchi) of Ivy, VA; and her grandchildren, Lisa, Mary, Rachel, Patrick, Hannah, Charles, Jacob and Haley. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.

The family requests that donations be sent to the Daughters of Wisdom, the Sisters who taught her nursing and nurtured her into adulthood.
