She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Louis Leathers, Sr. and Jessie Woodrow Smith Leathers; her husband William Woodyard Waugh, Sr.; her children, Larry Wayne Knighting and Judy Knighting Partlow; and her siblings, Chester Louis Leathers, Jr. and Roberta Clift.
She is survived by: her sisters, Virginia Belle Dodson, Gloria Knighting and Betty Edwards (Jesse); her grandson Dustin Tharp; her great grandchild Leila Tharp-Fuentes; and her caregivers, Deborah Morgan, Doris Fincham, Pam Johnson, Pat Beales and Teresa Tucker.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel (59 Edgewood School Ln, Madison, VA 22727).
