We bid farewell to Constance Louise Pilkerton in Culpeper, Virginia, born in Washington, District of Columbia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 24, 2025 at the age of 82. Constance Louise touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her significant other Franklin A. Pilkerton, Sr.; her parents, Henrietta Mae Heim and Jerome J Swartz; her daughter Laverne Riddle; her daughter-in-law Sue Dodson Pilkerton; and her brother Thomas Swartz (Rebecca).
She is survived by: her children, Sherril, Jerome of Madison, Frank Allen Jr. of New Market, Anita Pilkerton-Plumb (Hylon) of Lancaster, PA and Timothy of Wolftown; her stepdaughter Peggy Ann Billdilli (Mark) of Mesa, AZ.; her grandchildren, Nicole Rose (Shawn) of Remington, J. Scott Martz of Wolftown, Theron, Arlo Plumb of Lancaster, PA, Dale Richardson, Jr. (Kristi) of Mesa, AZ, Wesley Richardson of Gold Canyon, AZ, Jamie Harris (Colin) of Cottonwood, AZ, Jamie Vedock-Riddle of Frederick, MD and Thomas Riddle of Parkersburg, WV; her brother-in-law Aubrey Pilkerton of Deltaville; and her sister Jeanne Swartz of Lewes, DE.. She is also survived by extended family and her love for many cousins, nieces.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Preddy Funeral Home (59 Edgewood School Ln, Madison, VA 22727). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Our Lady of the Blue Ridge Catholic Church (692 Lonnie Burke Rd, Madison, VA 22727).
Favorite causes included Our Lady of the Blue Ridge Catholic Church, veterans' organizations, and Alzheimer's research. A donation to one of these causes is welcome.
